There are two different types of bath waste bathroom fittings available from Rapid; slotted and unslotted. If there is a hole near the top of your bath or sink basin, this is referred to as an overflow; this allows water to flow down the inside of the bath or basin to prevent overflowing on the outside. A slotted bath waste will have a slot cut out of it, which allows overflow water to run out of and back into the drain line. An unslotted bath waste will, of course, not have this slot in it; unslotted bath wastes are generally used in baths or shower trays where there is no overflow needed.
